How I Work

Four Phases. One Partnership.

Most engagements move through the same four phases. The cadence is predictable, the deliverables are written, and you always know what is happening next.

Phase 01
30 minutes

Intro Conversation

A short call to talk about what you are working on, where you are stuck, and what you actually need. No deck, no pitch, no commitment to anything else.

What You Get
  • An honest read on whether this is the right fit
  • A clear next step (which is often the Assessment, but not always)
  • Pointers to other people or resources if F2 is not the right answer
Phase 02
2 to 3 weeks

AI Readiness Assessment

Most partnerships start here. A fixed-fee diagnostic that maps where AI moves the needle in your business, ranks the opportunities, and produces a written plan you can execute with or without me.

What You Get
  • A prioritized list of three to five AI opportunities, ranked by ROI vs. effort
  • An implementation plan with realistic timelines and decision points
  • An honest list of where AI will not help — sometimes the most valuable section
  • A live working session to pressure-test the recommendations together
Phase 03
Sprint-based

Build Engagements

When there are things worth building, we build them. Scoped engagements with clear deliverables, AI-accelerated where it makes sense, shipped iteratively so you see progress every week.

What You Get
  • Scoped sprints with fixed deliverables and timelines
  • Direct collaboration — no handoffs, no account managers, no juniors
  • Weekly check-ins, shipping demos, and async updates that keep you informed
  • Production-ready code that your future team can maintain
Phase 04
Ongoing partnership

Operate & Grow

Most engagements continue into a monthly retainer. Hosting, performance, iteration, advisory, and the next round of builds as priorities shift. The relationships that compound are the ones that matter.

What You Get
  • Ongoing technical advisory and a fractional partner you can pick up the phone with
  • Maintenance, hosting, and performance work bundled into a predictable monthly cadence
  • First look at improvements and new opportunities as they surface
  • Equity arrangements for the right founders and ideas
How It Stays Sane

Three Principles, Across Every Phase

Written, Not Just Said

Recommendations, scope, and decisions go into writing. Nothing depends on remembering what was said on a call three weeks ago.

Small Roster, Long Horizon

I take on a small number of partnerships so I can actually be present in each one. The right comparison is a fractional partner, not a vendor.

Fixed Scope Where It Counts

Diagnostic and sprint phases are fixed-fee with fixed deliverables. No surprise scope creep. Ongoing retainers are predictable monthly cadences, not open-ended hourly drift.

The intro conversation is a 30-minute call. No deck, no pitch, no commitment. We will figure out together whether the next step makes sense.
